For the figure drawing unit, we had to sketch figures that we saw. However, we only got to look at the figures for around a minute each. To the right is some of the sketches I drew of my classmates as they posed in front of me. As the exercise progressed, I noticed that it was easier to draw circles for the limbs. The next step in the process was to take three of the figures and put them into one image together. I chose three that all looked like their pose may be seen on a bed. I made the sketches slightly more realistic but still wanted them to look kinda of like mannequins. Then, I watercolored the rest of the image very colorfully, and left them black to give it an eerie vibe. If I could change something, I would make the water color a little bit less messy. |
